In a world full of turmoil and uncertainty, it is a wise person who would seek to resolve conflicts quickly and in a manner capable of serving the interests of all concerned. It is human nature to get caught up in our own reactions to the slights or wrongs we perceive to have been done to us. Mediation is designed to help overcome that natural tendency by providing a platform which encourages the amicable resolution of disputes via confidential interactions of the parties aided by an independent neutral third party.
As a Certified Mediator for Civil Matters, I act as a neutral intermediary and facilitate open and honest discussions between parties in conflict with a view to assisting them to arrive at a voluntary resolution of the dispute in a timely, fair and cost-effective manner. I am passionate about playing my part in bringing about social transformation from a world focused on aggression to one that is defined by reconciliation. Disputing parties place their trust in me and I conduct mediations with the utmost confidentiality.
In my role as legal representative to a party to a dispute, I seek to resolve the conflict in the most cost effective and efficient manner through the process of negotiation and mediation. Litigation is the absolute last resort.
In either role, I consider that Mediation can go a long way in preserving the physical, mental and financial health of persons who find themselves in conflict with others. In fact, if adopted in good faith it can ultimately result in the preservation of the relationship between the parties (be it personal, family or business).
